I am an environmental scientist and project manager originally from South Africa, now working to protect our natural heritage and ensuring a better world for people and wildlife alike. Career highlights include being the lead author of "Conservation Biology in Sub-Saharan Africa", the "extremely well-written and beautifully illustrated magnus opus" of African conservation, and being a NASA Earth Science Fellow during which I used a range of remote sensing technologies for strategic prioritization, wildlife movement mapping, environmental monitoring, ecological restoration, and protected areas management.
